Peak 4x4 Response is a Voluntary group of 4x4 owners offering logistical support in the County of Derbyshire, The Staffordshire Moorlands and the wider Peak District.

Our aim is to provide organised assistance to users such as the emergency services, local authorities and commercial organisations at times of need. The Group was established in the winter of 2006 by a small number of like-minded volunteers wanting to help with their 4x4 vehicles when adverse weather caused travel problems across the County.

Operations usually undertaken include the transportation of key workers and care staff to keep vital services going in less than ideal conditions, along with the collection and delivery of urgent food and medical supplies to remote communities that would otherwise be cut off by the winter weather.

We have also helped utility companies to distribute supplies when mains services have failed and our members have recovered many stranded vehicles in the course of our operations to allow the roads to remain passable. In the winter season of 2018 (specifically March) we handled 318 tasks over a 4 day period, providing vital transport during the ‘Beast from The East’.

We would strongly suggest that you don't leave it until you are quite literally stuck, to get in touch. An agreement can be set up at any time, giving you peace of mind that, should you need us, we are on the end of the phone, providing a staffed 24/7 control team with access to trained, equipped responders, to assist you.

Presentations & talks

If you have an organisation, society group or regular meetings and looking for a friendly informative presentation. One of our senior members would love to come to your group or organisation and present who we are & what we do here at Peak 4x4 Response.
